Elite Series Premium 20mm Honeycomb Wave Acoustic Foam Door Panel Damping Sheet (36×18 Inch)

Maximize Cabin Silence: Elite Series 20mm Honeycomb Acoustic Foam Door Panel Damping

Eliminate stubborn high-frequency road noise, door trim vibrations, and outer wind rush instantly. The Elite Series Premium 20mm Honeycomb Wave Acoustic Foam Damping Sheet is a high-grade sound isolation panel engineered specifically for vehicle door cards and plastic interior panels. Measuring a generous 36 x 18 inches with a substantial 20mm thickness layer, this pure foam dampening pad provides a complete noise cancellation barrier, preventing external airborne noise from leaking into your cabin soundstage.

Technical Performance & Material Engineering

100% Pure Acoustic Foam Composition (Zero Cotton)

Unlike cotton or blended fiber pads that can sag, break apart, or retain unwanted moisture inside door cavities, this damping sheet is manufactured from 100% pure, high-density open-cell acoustic foam. It features excellent physical memory, compressing effortlessly behind tight plastic door panels and expanding dynamically to fill empty voids, creating a permanent acoustic seal.

Engineered Honeycomb Wave Sound Dispersion

Flat sheets allow floating sound waves to bounce around inside the door trim, causing echo and distortion. The Elite Series features a precision-molded honeycomb wave (egg-crate) profile. This geometric design dramatically increases the physical surface area, trapping multi-directional sound waves within the foam valleys and neutralizing them before they can reach the driver’s seat.

High-Bond Industrial Self-Adhesive Layer

No messy external spray adhesives or liquid glues are required. The entire bottom layer is equipped with a high-tack, automotive-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive film. The 36 x 18-inch sheet can be cleanly trimmed with utility knives or heavy shears, bonding instantly and permanently to clean plastic door cards, metal panels, or custom wooden enclosures.

Primary Application Zones

• Plastic Interior Door Trim Panels: Mounts directly to the inner side of plastic door cards to eliminate friction rattles and kill high-frequency tire hiss.

• Trunk Trim & Tailgate Plastics: Excellent for lining loose trunk plastics and deep wheel arch cavities to prevent exhaust drone.

• Roof Headliners: Blocks intense high-speed wind noise and acts as a premium thermal barrier.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is pure acoustic foam better than cotton padding for car doors?

Pure acoustic foam does not shed particles, rot, or lose its structural shape over time. It has excellent mechanical resilience, meaning it can compress down behind tight factory door pins and expand back out to absorb airborne sound waves effectively, making it far superior to generic cotton options.

How does this foam help my car’s mid-bass response?

By decoupling the heavy plastic door card from the inner metal door skin, it stops plastic-on-metal vibration. When your door speakers hit heavy mid-bass notes, the foam absorbs the stray rear frequencies, allowing your speakers to sound tighter, punchier, and much cleaner.
