DAPS Canbus Hid Ballast [pair] 55w Dot3500ah

Product Overview

Bypass Error Codes and Protect Your Vehicle Diagnostics

Modern vehicles rely on sensitive internal computer networks to actively monitor the electrical resistance of factory bulbs. When retrofitting high-intensity discharge systems, these networks often misread the power load, triggering dashboard error warnings, radio interference, or aggressive beam flickering. The DAPS 55W CANbus HID Ballast Pair (DOT3500AH) solves this communication issue completely, pairing elite power delivery with advanced diagnostic decoders.

Integrated Digital Power Stabilization Grid

Operating on a premium Alternating Current architecture, this matching pair of ballasts acts as a heavy-duty voltage stabilizer. While entry-level DC modules deliver inconsistent current that causes color shifting and fast component degradation, the DAPS digital system channels a sustained 55 Watts of clean AC power smoothly to your bulbs. This high-efficiency energy management ensures that your xenon capsules fire up quickly and hold a completely uniform, flicker-free light path under demanding midnight road cycles.

Universal Compatibility Profile

Built to perform across a vast spectrum of automotive retrofits, these premium standalone ballasts feature universal, weather-resistant AMP-style connector pigtails. This standardized layout enables them to plug cleanly into any standard aftermarket xenon HID bulbs and Bi-Xenon headlight or fog projector assemblies, making them the ultimate replacement or core upgrade for drivers seeking uncompromised frontend reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What individual items are included inside this DAPS product package?

A: This package is sold as a specialized standalone power components set. The box contains two DAPS 55-Watt CANbus AC Digital Ballasts Only equipped with universal connection leads. It does not include standalone HID bulbs, custom projector lenses, or battery relay harnesses.

Q: Why do I specifically need a “CANbus” ballast for my headlight retrofit?

A: If you are upgrading the headlights on a premium car equipped with automated bulb monitoring (very common in European cars, luxury trims, or newer SUVs), installing a regular ballast will confuse the vehicle’s computer. The car will assume the bulb is blown, cutting off power or flashing a warning light. The DAPS CANbus ballast speaks the computer’s language, absorbing the power loads seamlessly so you get zero error prompts.

Q: Can I connect these ballasts into my existing 35W or 55W HID bulbs?

A: Yes. These ballasts feature standard universal AMP-style waterproof connectors, allowing them to snap directly into the vast majority of aftermarket xenon bulb pigtails. They work flawlessly with all standard 35W and 55W HID bulbs.

Q: What is the main advantage of an AC ballast over a cheaper DC ballast?

A: Standard DC ballasts force electric current in only one direction, which overheats one side of the bulb electrode, causing rapid color shifting and early bulb failure. DAPS AC ballasts rapidly alternate the pulse smoothly, keeping the gas arc perfectly stabilized, running the bulb cooler, and delivering a brighter, longer-lasting beam.

Q: Is it easy to install these components as a plug-and-play upgrade?

A: Yes, the wiring leads feature a simple plug-and-play architecture. Your car’s stock bulb power connector plugs straight into the input of the CANbus ballast, and the output wires clip directly to your HID bulbsmeaning no cutting or slicing into your factory wiring harness is required.
