IPHCAR V3 55watt AC Ballast Pair

Product Overview

Eliminate flickering headlights, poor light intensity, and slow ignition warm-ups with the high-performance iphcar v3 55watt ac ballast pair. As part of the highly regarded iPHCAR Gold Series, this premium electronic control hardware pair is engineered to supply clean, highly reliable alternating current (AC) power directly to your vehicle’s aftermarket HID lighting setup.

Unlike lower-tier direct current (DC) ballasts that cause HID bulbs to degrade rapidly and shift colors over time, the iPHCAR V3 applies an advanced Alternating Current (AC) electrical system. This premium topology continuously reverses polarity, distributing thermal and electrical wear evenly across the xenon bulb’s internal electrodes to extend your lighting lifespan while maximizing absolute lumen output. Operating at a true, continuous 55-Watt power matrix, this kit ensures a deeply focused, steady beam throw.

Housed inside a rugged, heat-dissipating alloy casing, these ballasts feature an ultra-durable build structure. The V3 configuration is designed to withstand extreme under-hood operating temperatures and severe road vibrations. It integrates seamlessly with popular aftermarket 2.5-inch and 3.0-inch Bi-Xenon headlight and fog lamp projectors, providing premium ignition stability for demanding night driving conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What exactly is included inside the box of this iPHCAR V3 package?

A: This package is a complete matching set for your front layout. It includes 2x iPHCAR Gold Series V3 55-Watt AC Digital Ballasts safely packed in a secure deal box to ensure zero damage or structural shock during transit.

Q: Does this hardware package come bundled with HID bulbs?

A: No. This specific item is a ballast-only hardware package. It is carefully tailored for custom lighting retrofit builders, or car enthusiasts who need to upgrade or replace their current control units while utilizing an existing set of aftermarket HID bulbs.

Q: What makes an AC (Alternating Current) ballast superior to a DC (Direct Current) ballast?

A: Budget HID ballasts run on DC power, which pushes current in one direction, forcing wear onto a single bulb electrode. This causes the bulb to dim quickly, flicker, and experience early failure. The premium iPHCAR V3 AC system alternates the current flow smoothly. This balances internal bulb wear, generates substantially brighter lux output, and helps maintain a perfectly stable color temperature over its lifespan.

Q: Can I use these high-power 55W ballasts with standard 35W HID bulbs?

A: It is highly recommended to pair these 55W ballasts with true 55W HID bulbs. While a 35W bulb will physically plug into the sockets, running it on a 55W power line will severely overdrive the bulb, leading to premature burning, rapid color shifting, and potential damage to the bulb’s internal quartz structure.

Q: Will these V3 ballasts cause errors or warning lights on my vehicle’s dashboard?

A: The iPHCAR V3 ballasts are designed with universal filtering circuits that perform flawlessly on standard 12V automotive systems. However, if your vehicle is equipped with a highly sensitive bulb-monitoring network (such as newer premium models from Skoda, Volkswagen, Jeep, or select Mahindra vehicles), you may require a dedicated iPHCAR 7-Series CANBUS ballast or an external decoder module to eliminate dashboard error lines.

Q: Does this product include a warranty?

A: Yes. The iPHCAR V3 55-Watt AC Ballast Pair comes backed by a comprehensive 6-Month Brand Manufacturer Warranty covering standard electronic failure and internal component malfunction when ordered from Car Concepts Shop.
