Aura Car Audio Storm 65 Midrange

Product Overview

The Aura Storm 65 is a 6.5-inch high-output PRO-audio midrange speaker engineered for enthusiasts who want maximum volume, punchy vocal projection, and crystal-clear sound staging that cuts through high road noise and heavy bass.

High-Sensitivity PRO Audio Engineering

Built around a high-efficiency motor structure and lightweight treated paper cone, the Storm 65 converts amplifier power into massive acoustic output. Its high sensitivity rating ensures that vocal frequencies, snare hits, and instrumental details remain sharp, clear, and uncompressed even when pushed to extreme volume levels.

Articulate Vocal Range & Clean Dispersion

Designed specifically to cover critical mid-range frequencies, the Aura Storm 65 excels at delivering warm, lifelike vocals and distinct instrument separation. Whether installed in custom door pods, kick panels, or rear decks, it provides broad sound dispersion to elevate your vehicle’s overall soundstage.

Robust Voice Coil & Thermal Management

Featuring a high-temperature voice coil and a reinforced accordioned surround, the Storm 65 handles continuous high-power playback while keeping distortion to a minimum. It pairs perfectly with high-frequency bullet tweeters and dedicated subwoofers in a fully active or amplified car audio setup.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is the Aura Storm 65 a full-range coaxial speaker or a dedicated midrange?

A: The Aura Storm 65 is a dedicated PRO-audio midrange speaker. It is engineered specifically to reproduce mid-range vocal and instrumental frequencies with high efficiency and volume. For best results, it should be paired with a dedicated tweeter (or bullet tweeter) for high frequencies and a subwoofer for low bass.

Q: Do I need an external power amplifier to run the Aura Storm 65?

A: Yes, using an external 2-channel or 4-channel power amplifier is strongly recommended. While high-sensitivity midrange drivers can produce sound off a standard radio, an external amplifier allows the Storm 65 to reach its full volume potential and dynamic clarity without clipping.

Q: Where is the best location to install a 6.5″ midrange speaker in a car?

A: The 6.5″ size makes it easy to mount in standard 6.5-inch factory door speaker locations, custom door panels, kick pods, or rear decks using high-pass crossovers (HPF) to filter out ultra-low bass frequencies.
