Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Do I need an external amplifier to run the Focal Auditor RCX-165 speakers?

A: No. Thanks to its high 91.5 dB sensitivity, the RCX-165 runs efficiently directly off your cars factory radio or an aftermarket touchscreen head unit. However, pairing them with an external amplifier will unlock even deeper mid-bass and cleaner volume levels.

Q: Are these coaxial or component speakers?

A: These are 2-way coaxial speakers. The inverted dome tweeter is mounted directly on top of the 6.5″ woofer driver, making them a quick and easy drop-in upgrade without needing external crossover boxes or separate tweeter mounts.

Q: Will the RCX-165 fit my vehicle’s front or rear door panels?

A: Yes, the RCX-165 uses a standard 165mm (6.5-inch) frame diameter designed to fit standard 6.5″ factory speaker slots in doors and rear parcel shelves.

Q: What is included in the box?

A: The package includes 2x Focal Auditor RCX-165 6.5″ coaxial speakers, 2x flat protective ABS/mesh speaker grilles, and mounting screws/hardware.
