Technical Acoustic Engineering & Key Features

Premium High-Excursion Woofer & Silk Dome Tweeter Integration

The FIT 6CF component set features a high-rigidity 6.5-inch (165mm) woofer cone built to handle heavy excursion without flexing, delivering tight, punchy mid-bass notes and clear vocal projection. Paired with a separate edge-driven silk dome tweeter, it reproduces smooth, non-fatiguing high frequencies without harshness, keeping treble notes clean and spatial.

External Precision Passive Crossover Network

Achieve flawless frequency distribution across your front soundstage. The included compact external crossover networks precisely route low and mid frequencies to the woofer while sending sparkling highs to the silk dome tweeter. This prevents distortion at high volumes and ensures seamless tonal balance.

Versatile “FIT” Mounting Ecosystem

Designed for straightforward OEM replacement, the FIT series features multi-hole mounting baskets and compact tweeter pods. Whether installing into original factory door locations or custom setups, the FIT 6CF integrates cleanly with minimal vehicle modification.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I run these Harman Kardon component speakers directly off a factory head unit?

Yes! With a high sensitivity rating of 91 dB, the FIT 6CF is efficient enough to run directly off an aftermarket or factory touchscreen head unit. However, pairing them with a quality 2-channel or 4-channel amplifier will unlock their full dynamic range, mid-bass punch, and clarity.

2. What is the advantage of a component speaker system over a coaxial speaker?

Component systems physically separate the woofer and the tweeter. Mounting the tweeter higher up on your A-pillar or dashboard lifts the audio soundstage to ear level, producing far better stereo imaging and vocal clarity compared to coaxial speakers located down near your feet.

3. Why Choose Harman Kardon Automotive Audio?

• Unrivaled Sound Clarity: Renowned globally for neutral, balanced, and highly detailed sound reproduction.

• Silk Dome Smoothness: Soft dome tweeters prevent harsh “sizzling” sounds, allowing for hours of fatigue-free music listening.
