Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Is the Infinity Primus 12″ Bass Tube a powered or passive subwoofer?

A: This is a passive subwoofer tube. It does not have an internal amplifier and requires a separate external car power amplifier to operate.

Q: What type of amplifier should I use with this 1500W bass tube?

A: You should pair this bass tube with a monoblock or bridgeable 2-channel amplifier capable of outputting approximately 300W to 400W RMS at the subwoofer’s rated impedance.

Q: What are the benefits of a bass tube design over a standard square box?

A: The cylindrical tube shape helps eliminate internal standing waves and resonances that can occur in square corners, yielding smoother bass performance. Additionally, the slim profile fits easily along the back seat of most vehicle trunks.
