iPHCAR 9005 Straight-Shape Special Hid Bulb 5500-Kelvin 2 Pcs

Product Overview

Crisp Daylight White Road Illumination

Bring premium, long-range focus to your vehicle’s frontend and cut through dark highways with confidence. The iPHCAR 9005 Straight-Shape Special HID Bulb Pair utilizes high-end gas discharge capsules to cast an intense, high-lux wall of light that easily out-powers standard factory halogens. Calibrated precisely to a highly coveted 5500-Kelvin Pure White spectrum, these bulbs deliver a clean, crisp beam that maximizes road sign reflectivity and asphalt contrast without causing the blinding glare associated with higher-temperature kits.

Flawless Optical Focus Alignment

Many universal HID bulbs struggle with alignment, causing scattered patterns and dark patches on the asphalt. These specialized iPHCAR bulbs are meticulously constructed with a precision-engineered straight-shape chassis. This keeps the glowing xenon gas arc perfectly centered along the optical sweet spot of your lenses. As a result, they serve as an exceptional drop-in upgrade for premium aftermarket headlight projectors, Bi-Xenon retrofit assemblies, and main headlamp configurations requiring a 9005 (HB3) footprint.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Do these replacement HID bulbs come with the power ballasts included?

A: No, this package contains two replacement iPHCAR 9005 HID bulbs only. High-Intensity Discharge lighting technology relies on high-voltage gas ionization to ignite, meaning these bulbs must be plugged into external 35W or 55W digital power ballasts (sold separately) to turn on.

Q: What is the main structural advantage of a straight-shape HID bulb?

A: The straight-shape configuration holds the internal xenon gas capsule completely straight and centered along the bulb’s axis. This layout allows your headlight or projector lens to capture 100% of the light cleanly and focus it down the road, preventing light leakage or beam distortion.

Q: Is the 9005 bulb size compatible with 9006 or H11 headlight housings?

A: No. While 9005 and 9006 bulbs look similar, they use slightly different locking tabs and O-ring sizes. This kit uses a standard 9005 (also known as HB3) base footprint, commonly found in dedicated high-beam headlight sockets or specialized aftermarket projector kits. Please check your vehicle’s manual to ensure a match.

Q: What is the visual difference between a 5500K bulb and a 6000K bulb?

A: A 6000K bulb projects a cool white beam with a distinct icy blue tint. A 5500K color profile is calibrated to mimic natural midday sunlight, providing a pure white light that offers superior real-world contrast against dark roads and holds up better through rainy or misty weather conditions.

Q: Can I touch the glass capsule with my hands while installing it?

A: Never touch the quartz glass capsule with bare fingers. Your skin transfers micro-oils onto the quartz glass surface. When the high-power HID system ignites, these concentrated residues boil rapidly and create localized hot spots that can warp, weaken, or instantly shatter the glass capsule. Always wear clean cloth gloves or handle the bulbs strictly by their composite baseline plastic housing.
