Morel MPS 4.400 4-Channel Class AB Car Amplifier

Product Overview

Morel built this MPS 4.400 amplifier so their high-performing car speakers would have an amp worthy enough to power them, giving you high-fidelity musical reproduction along with pure, clean power. The MPS 4.400 can send 70 watts RMS to each of your front and rear speakers, boosting musical clarity and emotional impact. You can also set this amplifier to 2-channel mode and power a couple of subs with up to 200 watts RMS each. Low-noise design Morel made sure that every detail of this amplifier’s design would result in lower noise and higher sound quality.

The amp’s Class AB architecture achieves the cleanest signal with the least distortion, while balanced differential inputs reject interference. An onboard microprocessor controls the thermal management system, keeping the amp running cool and steady no matter how hard it’s driven. All the connections are on one side of the amp to keep wiring neat, organized, and simple for the installer. Tone controls for every occasion.

The high- and low-pass filters and gain controls sit protected under a top panel. Their intuitive operations and functions make it easy to match the amp’s output to your speakers or subs and achieve great sound. This amplifier’s modest exterior shelters high-quality electronic components that guarantee an accurate and musical performance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can I use the Morel MPS 4.400 with my car’s factory stereo system?

A: Yes! The MPS 4.400 includes high-level speaker wire inputs with built-in DC-offset/signal-sensing technology. It plugs into factory head unit outputs and automatically powers on when it detects an audio signal.

Q: Can I bridge this 4-channel amplifier to power a subwoofer?

A: Yes. You can run the MPS 4.400 in 3-channel modedelivering 70W RMS x 2 to your front component speakers while bridging the remaining two channels to deliver 200W RMS @ 4 Ohms to a subwoofer.

Q: Why choose a Class-AB amplifier like the MPS 4.400 over a Class-D amplifier?

A: Class-AB amplifiers are known for superior sound quality, delivering lower total harmonic distortion, smoother high frequencies, and warmer vocal reproduction compared to typical Class-D designs.
