Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Does the Pioneer VREC-H120SC-D feature a screen for watching live videos?

A: No, this device features a completely screenless, ultra-compact design. To view live video, browse through saved logs, or adjust system settings, you simply connect your smartphone to the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi network and open the companion app.

Q: How does the camera handle video storage once the memory card becomes full?

A: The dash cam utilizes loop recording, dividing your trip videos into brief 1-minute or 3-minute clips. When storage capacity limits are reached, the device automatically replaces the oldest unprotected video files to ensure constant, uninterrupted recording.

Q: Will an accident or emergency recording accidentally get deleted by the loop feature?

A: No. The camera features an integrated G-Sensor that immediately recognizes violent forces, sudden braking, or collisions. The camera automatically locks the relevant recording interval into a dedicated emergency folder, preventing the file from being overwritten.

Q: Does this dash cam monitor my vehicle while it is parked and turned off?

A: Yes, the camera supports an optional Parking Mode that uses time-lapse or impact detection to safeguard your vehicle. However, this feature requires installing an external hardwire kit (sold separately, such as the Pioneer RD-HWK300) to safely draw continuous power from your vehicle’s battery without draining it.

Q: What kind of memory card should I purchase for this model?

A: The system supports external microSD cards up to 128GB. To handle the high data load of 1.5K video streams reliably, you must use a high-speed Class 10 (or above) memory card from a reputable brand. A memory card is not included in the retail box.

If you want to bundle a compatible high-speed Class 10 microSD card with this order, or need a recommendation for the official Pioneer hardwire kit to unlock 24/7 parking mode, let me know and I can bring up those options for you!
