Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Do I need a separate amplifier to run the Vextron M8X?

A: No, the Vextron M8X is an active subwoofer enclosure, meaning it has a power amplifier built directly inside the cabinet. You only need an active wiring kit to connect it to your car’s battery and audio head unit.

Q: Can I connect this to my factory stock head unit?

A: Yes! The Vextron M8X can be integrated with original OEM factory car stereos (via a high-to-low converter) as well as aftermarket Android/touchscreen head units using standard RCA inputs.

Q: Where is the best place to install this enclosure in my car?

A: The M8X is designed for compact boot/trunk installation. Its small dimensions make it ideal for placement against the rear seats in hatchbacks, sedans, or compact SUVs while keeping the majority of your trunk space clear.

Q: What does the remote bass control knob do?

A: The included bass knob runs from the subwoofer enclosure to your dashboard. It lets you increase or decrease the subwoofer’s gain independently from your main radio volume, giving you on-the-fly bass adjustment.
