Vibrofiltr 1.8 Mm High Performannce Damping Material Sheets Box Of 15 Sheets

Product Overview

The Vibrofiltr 1.8 mm High Performance Damping Material is engineered to eliminate unwanted road noise, panel resonance, and structural vibrations. By adding structural mass to metal body panels, these sheets prevent the sheet metal from vibrating, drastically reducing cabin noise and allowing your car speakers to produce tighter, punchier mid-bass.

Advanced Polymer & Aluminum Construction

Each sheet combines a high-grade, multi-component butyl composition with a robust 100-micron aluminum foil outer layer. This hybrid design offers high mechanical loss factors to absorb acoustic energy efficiently while shielding against environmental moisture.

Waterproof & Thermal Resistance

Unlike traditional asphalt-based sound deadeners that melt, smell, or crumble under high heat, Vibrofiltr uses a specialized self-adhesive layer stable up to 90C. Its self-extinguishing, non-flammable composition makes it safe for application across car doors, floors, boot lids, and firewall areas.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: How does damping material improve my car audio sound quality?

A: Unprepared car doors act like loose speaker enclosures that flex and vibrate when mid-bass notes hit. Vibrofiltr stiffens the metal panels, stopping acoustic energy from escaping and eliminating hollow rattles so your door speakers sound clearer and produce deeper bass.

Q: How many sheets come in one box, and what area does it cover?

A: This box includes 15 individual sheets. Each sheet measures 0.5 x 0.7 meters (500mm x 700mm). Depending on the size of your vehicle, one box is typically enough to thoroughly treat all 4 car doors or a complete boot/trunk area.

Q: Do I need a heat gun to install these sheets?

A: No, Vibrofiltr features a pressure-sensitive self-adhesive layer that bonds strongly at room temperature. However, using a standard sound-deadening roller is highly recommended to roll out air bubbles and ensure firm contact with the vehicle’s metal contours.

Q: Is Vibrofiltr safe to use inside car cabin doors?

A: Yes. Vibrofiltr uses high-grade, non-toxic polymer materials that do not emit foul asphalt odours when exposed to sunlight or heat. It is waterproof, non-flammable, and heat-stable up to 90C.
