Legendary Italian-Israeli Sound Crafting & Power Metrics

Oversized 1.5-Inch High-Flux Voice Coils

While most standard car woofers rely on tiny 1-inch voice coils that quickly overheat and distort under heavy volumes, the Tempo Ultra 602 features a massive 1.5-inch (38mm) diameter voice coil structure. Backed by an ultra-strong high-grade ferrite magnet motor system, this layout increases continuous power handling by up to 40% over standard kits, maintaining perfectly linear travel and non-fading low-end dynamics.

Handcrafted 1.1-Inch Soft Dome Tweeters

Experience silky-smooth, non-fatiguing high frequencies. These oversized 28mm (1.1-inch) textile soft dome tweeters rely on Morel’s signature external voice coil (EVC) technology. They resolve micro-details in high-resolution audio files with lifelike precision, lifting acoustic elements right across your dashboard without creating harsh, piercing ear fatigue at high volume.

Specially Treated Composite Paper Cones

The mid-bass woofers feature mathematically modeled, computer-optimized composite paper cones paired with a flexible suspension surround. This rigid yet light structural build delivers exceptional transient response, ensuring punchy, fast mid-bass kicks and completely uncolored, accurate mid-range vocal reproduction.

Why Choose the Morel Tempo Ultra 602?

• Signature Tonal Warmth: Free from harsh metallic distortion, this component setup focuses heavily on true musical authenticity, rendering acoustic instruments and raw vocals exactly as the artist recorded them in the studio.

• Oversized Core Thermal Headroom: The larger motor assembly effortlessly dissipates heat across long, high-volume sessions, preventing compression artifacts and extending structural lifespan.

• Precision Built for Factory Locations: Features a versatile, standard DIN-sized steel basket configuration that drops cleanly into 6.5-inch door slots with standard spacer brackets.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do these component speakers require an external amplifier to perform properly?

While the Tempo Ultra 602 has an efficient 90 dB sensitivity rating and can run directly off a standard car dashboard stereo, it is highly recommended to pair them with a high-quality multi-channel amplifier delivering 70W to 120W RMS per channel. Supplying them with clean external power unlocks their incredible 1.5-inch voice coils, producing deep, authoritative mid-bass response that often removes the immediate need for a separate subwoofer.

2. What makes Morel’s 28mm soft dome tweeter superior to standard hard dome tweeters?

Standard aluminum or titanium hard dome tweeters blast sharp, localized sound fields that quickly result in severe listener ear fatigue during long highway drives. Morels hand-treated 28mm soft textile dome diffuses high frequencies with smooth, wide off-axis dispersion, creating a wide, linear stereo center stage that sounds incredibly natural and lifelike.

3. Where should the external passive crossovers be installed?

The included MXR premium crossover units are compact and built inside an enclosed chassis structure. They can be mounted neatly behind your car’s front door card panels, tucked securely near the kick panels, or hidden under the dashboard using heavy-duty securing tape or screws.
