Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What makes the Mexlite Bi-LED Fog Lamp a “size convertible” projector?

A: This projector features an innovative, modular housing design that allows it to convert between standard sizes (such as transforming to adapt to different bumper requirements). This flexible footprint makes it universally compatible with a much wider array of vehicle bumper shapes and factory housing slots compared to fixed-size projectors.

Q: How does the integrated DRL feature operate?

A: The housing includes a high-visibility, integrated Daytime Running Light (DRL) accent frame. When wired into your ignition or parking circuit, the DRL stays illuminated during daylight hours to add a sharp, modern luxury look to your frontend while improving oncoming driver safety.

Q: Does this fog lamp provide both low beam and high beam output?

A: Yes. Utilizing true Bi-LED technology, it features an internal mechanical cutoff solenoid shield. This enables the projector to throw a wide, flat low beam with a sharp safety cut-off line, and instantly shift to an unrestricted, long-range high beam to assist your primary headlights on dark highways.

Q: What are the main benefits of Bi-LED technology over HID or halogen setups?

A: The solid-state LED chips offer instantaneous maximum brightness the millisecond they are switched oncompletely eliminating the 10-to-15-second warmup delay required by older HID kits. Additionally, they consume significantly less power while generating substantially higher lumens and lasting up to 30,000+ hours.

Q: Is the Mexlite projector fog lamp waterproof and ready for rough terrain?

A: Absolutely. The housing is completely weather-sealed against harsh downpours, muddy splash backs, and thick dust storm entry. Its solid internal architecture is built to withstand rigorous road vibrations on long road trips or off-road tracks.
